A 1969 600 receives
much-needed attention on the lift, while chassis #0008 sits aside,
waiting for the final touches on a complete mechanical
and partial cosmetic overhaul.
The grey #0008
is one of the oldest 600s still in existence, and was originally
used by the General Director of Daimler-Benz Walter Hitzinger
in Stuttgart.
MB Grand 600 Restoration is located in Woxall, PA,
less than one mile from the intersection of Route 63 and 563.
Set on 5 acres in the beautiful Perkiomen Valley, MB Grand 600
Restoration caters to the niche market of Mercedes-Benz 600 and,
occasionally, 300SEL 6.3 owners who want only the best maintenance
and concours restoration quality for their rare M-100 powered
car.
I also maintain a large private collection of M-100
powered cars, ranging from Francis Ford Coppola's 600 Grand Pullman
limosine to two 300 SE coupes converted to 6.3 power, one of which
features two modern electronic fuel delivery
systems. Most of these cars remain registered and insured
and are exercised on a regular basis to maintain their very sensitive
internal components.
MB 600 Restoration spends many months on some restorations.
Projects are taken on an appointment basis, and patience is the
key to a quality job. The newest 6.3 or 600 on these shores is
now a 27 year old car, and for a job to be completed properly,
the work takes time due to the complexity of the vehicle. Rest
assured, however, that MB Grand 600 Restoration will complete
the job with genuine Mercedes-Benz parts, and, where deemed necessary
or requested, with those that have been designed to work better
than original.
Please call to set up an appointment during normal
business hours.
