Hans Holterbosch, importer for Lowenbrau bier has been the original owner. Jokingly, I say that he must have drunk 13
bottles of this brew when ordering in 1972 a "red-metallic 600"! But it is a color that has grown on me, and when I decided to
build a 600 Coupe, this is the color I chose.

Sunroof, 4 head restrains, tan carpeting with floor mats, 2 tan sheepskins for the front seats, Becker Mexico with 10 disc
Alpine changer and amplifier, upgraded MB Quart speakers.

Total engine rebuilt at 11,400 miles back, also complete front and rear axle rebuilt. Polished intake maifolds and valve
covers, all woodwork refinished.

Tools, books, service records, hydraulic kit, road emergency kit, 2 fog lights, German issue H-1 flat glass headlights,
stainless exhaust system, and a factory repaint 5 years ago.

Shows and rewards: Starfest 1994 Washington, DC 1st Place in Show Class, 1997 1st Place Street Class Len Imke Show,
Columbus, OH, 1997 1st Place Show Class Starfest, Portland, OR. My wife and I drove the 600 to the meet in Portland,
8,400 miles roundtrip - 2 quarts of Castrol 20/50 GTX and 2 quarts of Slick 50 - that's it.

The color is for those young at heart, or have stayed young, the English would say "a trifle sporty".

A signed copy of the Grand 600 book by Michael Wiedmaier, Wulf Knetsch, MB Erich Waxenberger, father of the 300SEL
6.3, and Karl H. Middelhauve, number 2203 matched to serial # goes with the Limousine.

This Grand 600 is given the #1 condition rating.
