A medical physicians one owner Grand 600 with original title dated 11/18/71. The original list includes: 1. Original title 2. The two original MB computer cards 3. Original service book 4. Original spare parts kit (behind left rear fender, trunk) 9. Original road emergency kit (in spare wheel, trunk) 10. Original new spare tire, Fulda Diadem (in trunk) 11. Original new 600 tool kit Once during it's life in the 1980's, the original Fulda Diadem tires have been replaced with four Michelin X tires that have a manufacturing date of 1981 on them and show dry rot. Also in the 1980's, the car has been resprayed in cellulose lacquer which now shows light crazing. The 600 is scheduled for a correct Glasurit repaint in the original 172 paint code. This Benz is absolutely straight and accident free. It is also rust free. We replaced the fuel tank, fuel pump, all filters, started up the car and it ran with good oil pressure. The hydraulic system is perfect. The interior is in excellent condition; leather, wood work & floor carpeting. The Grand 600 had been retired about 20 years ago in the doctor's garage, covered with a car cover and told to go asleep until woken up in May of 2009. Since first love is something to reckon with, he kept all these years the registration and insurance up to 2009. To say this Grand 600 is a collector's dream would be an understatement, it's a very good original car that we will make perfect. |
